“GOOD NEIGHBOR’S DAY” QUOTES
What kind of relationship do you have with your neighbors?
Many people today don’t even know their neighbors these days.
Surfing the Internet to find out about National Good Neighbor Day, I discovered most items were posted by businesses—floral, card, even “green” sites.
I also noted that one community—Boise, Idaho—sought nominations for National Good Neighbor Day.
A holiday site stated that This day of recognition is not to be confused with other forms of “Good Neighbor Days”. Stores proclaim “Good Neighbor Days” to promote sales, a wide range of organizations announce “Good Neighbor Days” to promote their cause, and local municipalities and governments proclaim “Good Neighbor Days” for a variety of reasons…Rather, this day is to truly recognize and appreciate your good neighbor.
Rhode Island once initiated a movement to pass a National Neighbor Day on the Sunday before Memorial Day. Action never materialized into a formal national proclamation or law. However, in 2003 the U.S. Senate passed a resolution, sponsored by Montana Senator Max Baucus, making September 28, National Good Neighbor Day.*

Below are some neighborly quotes I found.
I challenge you to choose a quote or two and write for fifteen minutes on it. Think about what it means to be a good neighbor. And ask yourself: who have been good neighbors to me, and to whom have I been a good neighbor? This might require you to define who is my neighbor.
